After acting for many years and suffering a back injury, Hannah discovered that Pilates was the only thing that helped in her recovery. Following the birth of her son, Hannah embarked on a years intensive training with Alan Herdman (the founder British Pilates) deciding to teach to those who could benefit from her practice as much as she did.
After working in his studio and others in London, Hannah's move to Brighton exposed her to The Garuda Method whereby she trained with James de Silva. Garuda take its name from an Indian mythical bird that changes shape according to its function and combines the spirituality, pranayama and asana practice of yoga with the core strength and focus of Pilates. It grows a stronger, more flexible, toned body and is suitable for most people.
"I have practised yoga for many years and I like to bring an element of meditation to my classes too, in order to make you more aware of the intricacy of your movement. As well as teaching movement I am also training to become a Biodynamic Cranial Sacral therapist at the Karuna Institute in Devon under Franklyn Sills. This is a very exciting new chapter in my life and is helping me in all areas of my life and work."
