Jo Shaw is a senior Vajrasati yoga who completed her 500hr teacher training in 2009. The Vajrasati Yoga school is registered as a Yoga Alliance Professionals Teacher Plus (500 hrs) and has its roots in Hatha and Ivengar Yoga. Every other month, Jo provides an opportunity to deepen your practice with a Sunday morning yoga workshop (10am-1pm). When Jo began practicing yoga over 20 years ago she was captured by how it enabled her to reconnect with herself, providing an anchor in her busy life.
In her classes, Jo encourages you to release the breath, listen to your body and respond with a yoga practice that suits your own unique needs. She is on hand to assist you to adapt poses with props (blocks, blankets, bolsters etc) if needed.
Jo's classes have a meditative approach and movement within the class ranges from dynamic to restorative. Classes are suitable for people of all levels of ability and experience.

Yoga helps us to avoid getting too caught up in these impermanent states and provides us with the tools to shift how we feel in the present moment. As we draw our attention away from our thoughts and tune into the breath, we can find freedom from these pre-occupations, release tension in the body and find a more peaceful state of mind.”
